Pooil Vaaish Quarry, situated on the scenic Scarlett peninsular on the south coast of the Isle of Man, has been producing black limestone for the last five centuries. This unique stone polishes down to a pure shiny black and is locally known as "Manx Marble".
In August 1999, the company was acquired by the current owners who invested heavily in the site and in state-of-the-art diamond CNC technology increasing the range of products from square cut paving to intricately shaped and carved items including millennium stones, granite worktops, memorials, Georgian fire surrounds, and architectural features.
Concentrating on building the company on the basis of offering top quality stone products and service at a fair price, Pooil Vaaish have started to bring the benefits of our networking between other quarries and stone products producers in the UK and overseas to our clients, enabling us to offer a full range of stone products in addition to those manufactured here on the island. Essentially, Pooil Vaaish has become a one-stop stone shop manufacturing and sourcing all kinds of stone products from marble or limestone flooring, through granite worktops and stone fire surrounds, to hand carved stone fountains and architectural features.
We are the only company able to offer our clients, first quality granite worktops manufactured here on the Isle of Man, with a choice of edge shaping and a range of different colours and types of granite, within a couple of weeks of templating. We have a first class; fully trained installation team to make sure that the investment in the stone tops is matched by our customer's satisfaction.
